Q.) Where are Cyclesoles™ available?
A.) Cyclesoles™ are available only at certified Cyclesoles™ dealers. Keep an eye out for the new "Dealers" page, coming soon!
Q.) What are Cyclesoles™ made out of?
A.) Cyclesoles™ are made from a thermo-sensitive closed-cell material that is topped with a renewable
source of bamboo cloth. We chose this material for its ease of malleability and its light weight.
Q.) How much do the Cyclesoles™ cost?
A.) Cyclesoles™ custom insoles have a suggested retail price of $199.00, but we allow the authorized
dealer to make the final decision on price based on their geographic and economic situation.
Q.) Can I buy Cyclesoles™ custom insoles direct?
A.) You can have your own set of Cyclesoles™ custom insoles made by the inventor, Scott Peterson, by visiting him at his office located within Sagebrush Cycles (at 35 SW Century Drive, Suite 110, Bend, Oregon, 97702), or you can make an appointment at (541) 389-4224 or info@sagebrushcycles.net.
Q.) Is there a “break in” period for the insoles?
A.) While the Cyclesoles™ custom insole doesn’t have a “break in” per se, your foot does. Some people are more sensitive to change than others, but it is suggested that you ride easy for the first 100 miles (not all at once!) that you have the insoles in your shoes. If you feel any kind of pinching, blistering, or other major discomfort see your Cyclesoles™ Foot Tech right away! The new insole should never cause rubbing, blisters, pinching, or any other conditions consistent with a mis-fit shoe and should be alleviated by a certified Foot Tech immediately. Most clients note premature foot fatigue and occasionally minor discomfort in the mid foot area from the enhanced support through the metatarsal arch. This should go away completely after your first few rides or 100 miles.
Q.) Do I need new or special shoes for my Cyclesoles™ custom insoles?
A.) No. While you want to make sure your shoes and Cyclesoles™ custom insoles fit well together, only people with excessive amounts of support (ultra high arches or large amounts of inversion or eversion) should look at sizing up ½ size or going with a wider shoe. We have found that the lifespan of a pair of Cyclesoles™ custom insoles is about the same as a pair of quality cycling shoes so it is a great time to invest in new shoes if the ability avails you.
Q.) How long will a pair of Cyclesoles™ custom insoles last?
A.) This really depends on the number of miles you are riding, but a good estimate is that a set will last you an average of 2-3 years. Again this is only an estimate and you authorized Cyclesoles™ Foot Tech can review the condition of your insoles at any time to tell you if they are still viable.
